Gary Devlin

With over 35 years in the optical industry, Gary Devlin has seen more lens designs than most of us have had hot dinners. From frames that just won’t fit to lenses that refuse to behave, he’s handled it all—with equal parts technical know-how and good humour.  Gary’s deep understanding of both frame selection and lens design makes him a go-to guru for tackling high prescriptions and tricky dispensing scenarios.  Outside the practice, you’ll find him on the rugby sidelines, swinging a golf club, or soaking up the sun at the top of the South Island with his grown-up kids in tow.  He brings a relaxed, real-world approach to optical challenges – making even the chunkiest lens topic feel like a breeze.
