Sephora Miao, Amy Pillay and Guy Parbury

Sephora Miao is an Optometrist and the Eyecare and Medical & Professional Affairs Director for EssilorLuxottica ANZ. A graduate of UNSW with a Bachelor of Optometry (Honours), Sephora has contributed across industry committees, including ECONA and university advisory boards. Her research interests include myopia and posterior ocular pathology. With extensive experience across the eyecare industry, Sephora is committed to elevating patient care standards and driving innovation in eyecare across ANZ.

Amy Pillay is a highly regarded optometrist and Professional Affairs Manager at EssilorLuxottica. With a progressive career spanning roles as an Optical Dispenser and Managing Optometrist, culminating in the role of Optometry Engagement Manager, now currently a Professional Affairs Manager, Amy brings a wealth of industry experience to her current position.  With a strong clinical background and a focus on myopia management, contact, she plays a crucial role in driving industry collaboration and innovation. Amy actively drives key initiatives such as the Educational Programs, Eyecare Roadshows, and University Programs, empowering eyecare professionals with the knowledge and tools to deliver exceptional patient care.

BEYOND SINGLE VISION: ADVANCED SOLUTIONS FOR MODERN VISUAL NEEDS – 1 GenDO

This session will outline how accommodation functions and why certain non-presbyopic patients may benefit from a low add or “boost.” It will also cover how to identify and support pre-presbyopic patients, along with practical approaches to recognising and managing digital eye strain in day-to-day dispensing.  A dedicated segment on office lenses will also be included, focusing on the visual demands of presbyopic patients and offering practical guidance on recommending solutions for office-based individuals working across multiple screens.
